Mini Author Interview with Alex & Angelica

Welcome Alex & Angelica can you tell me about us about your book? Sylf Dawnwood is looking to get out of the assassin business but when her acquaintance Tomlyn Baker, a thief full of swagger with a heart of gold, holds the key to doing it, she's going to have to figure out how to pull off the heist and handle gang bosses all without falling for her partner in crime.

I love a good heist story can you tell us about yourselves and how you started writing as coauthors?Alex has always enjoyed writing creatively but she didn't have the right story until Heist came along. She was inspired by her DnD character's mysterious background and the two men that filled it. With the pandemic lock-down, her imagination ran wild and she knew that the campaign couldn't do what she wanted for the love story unfolding in her head. After the initial draft of Heist was finished, she brought in her DM, Angelica, and they've been working together on the Thieving Hearts series ever since.

Now for a silly yet super important question. If your book characters were real and could host a dinner party, who would be invited, and what would be on the menu? They'd have the meal in Sylf's new home (acquired at the end of Heist) and invite Tomlyn's orc buddy, Virna, and Sylf's demonkin (tiefling) friend Dispiria. Sylf keeps things close to the chest, so it would be a small dinner party and sort of odd considering Virna and Sylf don't like each other, and Dispiria is dreamy and not quite there, but it definitely would have good food! Tomlyn would absolutely be cooking (something we see him do more of in Book 2!) and he'd make a nice meal with baked chicken, veggie and potato sides, accompanied by some good wine and whiskey. For dessert he would bake chocolate cake!

I hope the middle of the month is going well for you. What holiday festivities are you up to? What books are you reading? What should we add to the book hoard?
